Really love those flowers… In this most recent series I’ve combined pheasant pelts and simple mechanical movements with hand crafted wire insects and silk flowers to give each piece a feeling of existing between dissolving and reconstructing itself.

Chainmail Lunar Rover Wheels

Some folks at McGill University are researching gravel-filled chainmail wheels for their prototype lunar vehicle. The loosely-filled sacks glom onto obstacles better than stiff rubber, and the metal linkages make the wheels puncture-resistant.
