Last year around this time I ran an event at my makerspace, kwartzlab, called Wrap It Up! I busted out all of my craft supplies– punches, paper of all kinds, gems, glue, paint, stamps, and even had the Silhouette cutting out custom shapes.
I encouraged folks to bring in old family photos that we could make black and white photocopies of, and turn into these personalized gift tags. The ones seen above are mounted onto paper doilies, and mini cupcake liners and embellished with stick on gems.
This project was inspired by this post from the Sweet Paul Magazine blog. If you decide to take on this project, I think you’ll have a lot of fun looking through the old family albums.
