Paulo Nenflidio is a visiting artist at the Arizona State University Art Museum for another two weeks, where he’s collaborating with community members on new works in the space. He makes really lovely sculptures that use sound in interesting ways. Two of my favorites of his are the Teclado SÃsmico, a spider that uses user-activated hammer drills on the ends of its legs, and the Heavy Metal Music Box, modeled after coin-operated street-side classical music boxes.
