Andrew is also an electronics and robotics enthusiast and has created and curated robotics exhibits for the Children's Museum of Somerset County, NJ and taught robotics classes for the Kaleidoscope Enrichment in Blairstown, NJ and for a public primary school. LightUp founders Josh Chan and Tarun Pondicherry are at a turning point. They are LightUp’s only two employees, so far, but they’re both working full-time now. They don’t have an office, yet, and are punching the clock at home or in local coffee shops. That plus a website where folks can place pre-orders is about all there is to the infrastructure of LightUp, Inc. For now.

Their product is a modular electronic construction kit that uses magnets to snap together for easy, kid-friendly assembly. It’s supplemented with a smartphone app that lets users see how electricity flows through their circuits and provides help through an interactive tutor.

It’s supposed to ship in a matter of weeks.
