In particular, covering art is my passion — after all, art is the first thing most of us ever made. Our resident yo-yo expert and MAKE engineering intern Eric Chu showed me this video of what claims to be the world’s largest handheld yo-yo, fashioned out of two dog pools and some hardware, by none other than Dr. Yo-Yo. The challenge was finding a place to actually film the throw. What better location than the top level of the National Yo-Yo Museum’s parking garage in Chico, Calif.

Update:

Dr. Yo-Yo is at it again! He went back to the drawing board, reduced the gap, increased the weight, and came up with much more successful results. High five, Doctor!
