We’ve blogged this before, but it’s a great project so we’re revisiting it. It’s a creepy candy bowl that uses an aluminum foil capacitor to trigger an array of LEDs and scare the kiddies. The guys who created this project sell a “NerdKit” — an ATmega168-controlled project board, but it’s easy to see how you could do this with an Arduino or some similar device. This is just the sort of prop that you could use for our fabu DIY Haunts Halloween Contest!
