Dialing from a picture frame

Looks like a good Make project…This would allow seniors (and others with impaired abstract thinking skills,) to dial phone numbers by just choosing a photo of someone and placing it in a holder next to the phone…you have to wonder if someone could hack this together out of, say, a CueCat, a free barcode font, and a photo printer...
