World Maker Faire New York is known by the Maker community as the place to experience all the new technologies companies have to offer, and this year HP delivered. Located on Science Ave was their all-new Sprout Tour Truck filled makers, techies, and families, all learning about the unique, newSprout by HP 3D PC and scanner.
The inside of the truck was lined with Sprout computers, all being explored by the attendees. What makes the Sprout by HP 3D PC and scanner truly unique is it’s touch sensitive mat, which is synced with an overhead projector and camera system.
This combination of technologies allows the user to capture physical objects, both in 3D and traditional 2D. It also enhances the traditional computer experience by allowing greater interactivity like projecting a virtual piano or DJ setup that can be played, or capturing physical items for digital scrap-booking. You’re only limited by your imagination when you work with the Sprout 3D PC and scanner.
The Spout by HP sports a touch-sensitive mat that takes it beyond a conventional computer experience.
