This year, in the lead-up to and during the Faire, we wanted to gather together a little ad hoc community of makers who are presenting at the event and ask them to do some posts for us. We want you to be able to look over their shoulders to get a sense of what’s going into their preparations, and through their minds — what they’re psyched about, nervous about, what they’re excited to see at the Faire. And then, when they’re there, we hope they’ll recount some of their experiences as they’re happening. We’ve started a mailing list for them to talk to each other as well, so hopefully, something interesting will come from that crosstalk, too (which can be shared here).
The first piece of content is this charming video from Michael Wood of TinyMeat.com. Micheal is an artist, designer, and craftsman who makes handcrafted wallets and other accessories. He writes:
