Here’s a simply HOW TO on making little charms to hang off wine glasses to help identify which glass is yours. While I don’t think I’d make ones like these, I do think it’s a neat idea to put really odd charms, like weird bolts, electronic chips, cell phone trinkets (like Natalie made) and lots of other things you wouldn’t expect to see hanging off a glass but bound to start some conversations. One of the hardest parts of sewing is making sure patterns fit to your body shape. Here’s an article online from Threads Magazine that shows four quick, easy, and cheap ways to make your own dress form. “With a few pins, some muslin, and 20 minutes, you can explore more pattern tweaks (and learn more about fitting) on a custom form than you could in hours of flat-pattern investigation on paper.” These DIY dress forms can be made out of duct tape (there are 2 ways!), molded paper-mache, or paper-tape. The whole idea is just that a lot of people probably have old cameras laying around, collecting dust, so why not make one of your old cameras an infrared one?” Link. The old mathods/applications don’t work, so the camerahacking kids have been trying to sort it out.
