A former Hollywood stunt man now living in the Netherlands launched his greatest project to date Tuesday: a 45-foot replica Viking ship made of millions of wooden ice cream sticks and more than a ton of glue. Link.
Here’s Jason Kronenwald’s website- He’s into some old master bubblegum painting! He doesn’t like to chew his own gum, but instead has an army of gum chewers. He has explored a rainbow of gum in all sorts of sizes, flavors, and colors. He painstakingly creates his paintings on plywood using no artificial colors or flavors. (Previous gum art)… [via] Link.

Powerpage has a review and selected Griffin AirClick USB as Powerpick. I’ve been meaning to write about this- if you present on a Mac or PC the AirClick is the best remote I’ve ever used. As as added bonus it works as an iPod remote from 60 feet away (it’s RF not IR). So for presenting, remote control kiosks/projects and music it’s permanently in my gadget bag. Link.

Dave Matthews Band encouraging fans to bypass DRM restrictions on new album (and, funny enough, petitioning Apple to ignore DRM restrictions in iTunes). Their HOW TO suggests burning a CD, then importing it in to iTunes, that’s wrong. Just hold down the shift key and/or disable autorun (here’s how). [via] Link.
It’s never too early to start planning for Halloween – Fasten a large grotesque head to the end of a stick four or five feet long; around the neck gather a skirt of black material, long enough to reach the ground when the end of the stick is extended at arm’s length above the head of the operator inside...
