The Povard is a large hand held POV device that is built onto a very cool laser cut and etched acrylic bezel. A POV “tricks” your eyes into seeing a full image when only part of the image is visible at one time. This effect is called the “Persistence Of Vision.” This is the way the Povard works.
The LoL Shield is a charlieplexed LED matrix for the Arduino, available in the Maker Shed. You can use it to display anything in a 9×14 grid. Scroll text, play games, display images, or anything else you want to do.

Over at MAKE: Japan, Takumi Funada found this nifty project that squeezes an Atmega168 onto the back side of a half breadboard, leaving the entire front available for connections.
This is an upgrade to Mitch’s brain machine that requires moving the low pass filters from LED positions 3 and 4 to positions 4 and 5. New firmware provides superior audio and improved syncing of the LEDs with the binaural beats, as well as allowing software control of LED brightness. With an upgrade to the power supply, RGB LEDs are also supported. The firmware will also compile for an ATMegaX8 and will run on an Arduino.
