We decided to stick to the theme of mixed reality projection games, developing a custom WaterFire version of the classic Frogger Game. Players were invited to wear a helmet rigged with infrared LED’s which let them control a virtual frog trying to cross the treacherous WaterFire-themed street.
In the spirit of this Make Magazine-affiliated event, we are sharing our software that ran the game, along with some instructions here. We will also be posting a video of the event soon.
Simon’s Arduino zombie game shows a lot of promise. He wants to add LEDs for cool and a LCD to display game information. Wouldn’t it be excellent to have knock sensors on the zombies to determine hit location? Dome shot for true death, anything else and they get back up again.
