Piers writes “Daylight savings has started now, and it was still quite light, but not light enough, and I really needed to use a flash. The shadows cast from my built-in flash are really harsh and especially prominent in close-up shots, so I made a makeshift light diffuser out of the top of a slide box, lined on the inside with some thin paper. It worked pretty well, as you can see, the photos have a nice soft light.” Link.

On a trip to Hawaii this Maker went biking, he’s since made a bicycle camera mount to take pictures and video – “The activity that really stood out for me is the mountain biking, though I can’t wait to participate in the others as well. I was planning to do a follow-up with some photos, but the sky has been overcast in Minneapolis for 4 days now. However, this is not a direct attempt to duplicate the production tools found in Apple’s Final Cut Studio.
