Day 2 of Maker Camp continues with the theme of “makers in motion.” We have a couple airborne projects today for different maker skill levels. The first project is an Easy Balloon Blimp that costs about a dollar to build. Or for something a little more advanced, you can try the Folding Wing Glider which goes up like a rocket, deploys wings, and then glides gently to the ground.

Maker Camp kicked off today and each day of the six-week virtual summer camp we’re holding a giveaway on MAKE’s Google+ Maker Camp community page. The first lucky winner is: Penny Jackson. She won the Ultimate Arduino Microcontroller Pack from the Maker Shed.

Attention campers and makers everywhere. MAKE and Google+ kick off Maker Camp today with a fun and project filled day of making. In case you haven’t heard, Maker Camp is a six-week virtual summer camp for teens. Week one is “makers in motion” and so this week we’ll be making things that roll, fly, sail. The featured project of the day is a two liter soda bottle boat.
