It takes a global village. Companies, non-profits organizations and individuals get together to crowdsource prosthetics by sharing innovation, 3D print manufacturing and funding with the Make The World: Prosthetics program Oct.
Minnowboard is a new Open Source microcontroller board that is going after the Raspberry Pi market not by emulating the popular RasPi, but by blowing it out of the water with a four-inch $200 mini PC running Ångström Linux on an Intel Atom CPU.
“Hardware is hard” is a frequent refrain at the Hardware Innovation Workshop. That’s one reason why the audience is here — to identify the land mines on the way from idea to product.
