I have a little box in the top drawer of my workbench that I think of as a kind of miniature trophy room. Every time I successfully remove a tamper-resistant, “security,” or other PITA fastener, I toss it in the box.

The first time I saw this video from Daniel Larsson and Tomas Redigh I was skeptical that they had really animated it by hand, just by moving a bunch of coins around on the floor. Then I saw the clever trick they were using to lay out the individual frames. Still a tedious task, requiring serious commitment.
If you’ve got an old camera laying around and are looking for some fun, try taking off the lens and snap a few pictures through it with your smartphone. If you’ve got a particularly interesting lens, like from a Lomo or some other odd plastic camera, you might then want to glue it to a spare case like redditor linc90 has with a derelict iPhone 4 case.
